FMC Corporation Increases Price of Peracetic Acid

PHILADELPHIA, August 1, 2008 – FMC Corporation (NYSE:FMC) announced today that effective September 1, 2008, or as contract terms permit, it will increase off-list and list peracetic acid prices by 10 percent for all grades of peracetic acid.

“The price increase is necessary to offset significant increases in the costs of raw materials, energy, and transportation and support FMC’s continued investment in product and applications development to the food safety and sanitation needs of our customers” said Wayne Fontaine, peracetic acid business manager, FMC Peroxygens.
