Cleaning up – big time.

With 145 employees and an annual payroll of more than $11 million, FMC’s Baltimore, Md., plant is a valued member of Curtis Bay, one of the city’s oldest mixed residential and industrial neighborhoods. Twice each year, FMC/Baltimore employee volunteers pitch in with their colleagues from adjacent companies in a Community Clean-Up day, collecting trash and otherwise sprucing up the streets and sidewalks of Curtis Bay.

FMC is more than a business. We are a family of people who care about the communities in which we live and work.  As a company, we are committed to being a good neighbor, strong community supporter, and an asset to the local economy, while demonstrating the same type of civic pride and responsibility that is the hallmark of every involved citizen.

Corporate Giving

Because the United Way provides a very efficient, effective means of making a difference in our home communities, FMC Corporation has long been an enthusiastic supporter. Employees are encouraged to contribute and FMC matches their contributions up to 60 percent on the dollar, based on the percentage of participating employees.

Together as partners, FMC Corporation and its U.S. employees also make a difference through their support to expand knowledge, increase understanding and enrich the artistic and cultural expression of our communities.  FMC Corporation matches employee donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000/year, to certain educational institutions, art and cultural organizations.

FMC supports "Dollars for Doers" programs to recognize and encourage community service, matching employees’ volunteer service hours with qualifying organizations up to $500.  We also support the National Merit Scholarship Program each year, providing three-year scholarships to qualifying children of active employees.

And in the special case of the Tsunami disaster, FMC responded to the call of its employees and matched their gifts to designated Tsunami relief charities, dollar for dollar.
