Reaching Out to the Less Fortunate

FMC employees in Rockland, Maine who are part of the company’s Community Service Committee recently gave of their time and talent – and a fair amount of perspiration – to paint the roof, clean the carpet and landscape the yard of the local Area Interfaith Outreach Food Pantry. Their hard work came just in time for AIO’s open house, where it showcased its programs for the community’s needy.

AIO provides food from its collective Food Pantry, emergency financial assistance and referrals to social service agencies. FMC Rockland has been closely associated with AIO’s work, providing sweat equity and more for this worthy organization.

Product Security Vulnerability Analyses

Key products subject to misuse and tampering were identified by a cross-functional group consisting of value chain representatives from each FMC business.  These key products were then evaluated using a product security vulnerability methodology to identify weaknesses in FMC’s current handling practices and identification of corrective actions.

Complete implementation of the ACC Security Code is required by June 30, 2005 for U.S.-based operations.  FMC is fully committed to this implementation timetable.

FMC has also been approved by the US Department of Homeland Security as a partner in its Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT).
