Green River Supports Coveted Award

FMC’s Green River, Wyoming, employees have been instrumental participants and supporters of an important congressional program designed to recognize outstanding young people who are setting and achieving noteworthy goals. The U.S. Congress established the Congressional Award in 1979 to recognize initiative, achievement and service in young people. The award encourages young Americans to challenge themselves in four key areas – volunteer public service, personal development, expedition/exploration and physical fitness – and recognizes those who have established and achieved lofty objectives.

A recent ceremony at Cheyenne Central High School, supported by FMC employees, honored 38 youth with gold, silver and bronze medals for their demonstrated success in the four program areas. State Sen. Mike Enzi and Secretary of State Max Maxfield were on hand to present the coveted awards.

Material Safety Data Sheets

 

Products manufactured by FMC are accompanied by a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), which covers the product’s chemical name, active ingredient, chemical family, molecular formula, trade and alternate trade names, chemical composition and specific hazard information.  MSDS’s are available to every entity in the supply chain and publicly available on FMC’s web site.

 

Also included in each MSDS are first-aid, firefighting and accidental release measures that are unique to the specific product.  Handling and storage procedures, exposure controls, personal protection, disposal and transport guidelines are detailed in this document.

 

Additionally, any ecological and toxicological information is included, as well as physical and chemical properties.  Finally, each MSDS lists company contact information and emergency telephone numbers.
