FMC Corporation Named to Newsweek’s Lists of Top U.S. Workplaces

FMC Corporation has received dual recognition from Newsweek as one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024 and one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Women 2024. The recognition underscores FMC's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. The America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024 report by Newsweek and market data research firm Plant-A Insights Group highlights the top large and mid-size companies recognized by their employees for respecting and valuing individuals with diverse backgrounds. Companies were selected based on an extensive study engaging over 223,000 U.S. employees and more than 1.5 million in-depth company reviews conducted in 2022 and 2023. Key factors assessed included company culture, working environment and diverse workforce management, among others.

"We believe fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace unlocks the full potential of our employees," said Jackie Scanlan, executive vice president and chief human resources officer. "By amplifying diverse voices, we're able to harness the creativity, curiosity and critical thinking that fuels innovation. We're proud to be recognized for our efforts to advance diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the company, but even more proud that our employees see FMC as a place where they can be their authentic selves at work each day.”

Earlier this year, FMC was also recognized as a leader in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation earning the Equality 100 Award for its perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index for the fourth time.

Building on the theme of diversity, FMC also made Newsweek's list of America's Greatest Workplaces for Women 2024. In what was one of America's largest independent employee studies, this selection process involved interviews with more than 142,000 female employees in the U.S. and evaluations of over 848,000 company reviews. Researchers evaluated data on the number of women in leadership positions and whether companies had dedicated programs for women empowerment.

Advancing gender equity – both within the company as well as the broader agriculture industry – continues to be a priority for FMC. The company has implemented programs and initiatives designed to remove barriers and create opportunities for women in manufacturing and field-level roles, including specialized job training and apprenticeship programs. It has also established partnerships with universities and community organizations to promote careers in STEM and agriculture.

The dual recognition from Newsweek affirms FMC's commitment to supporting and developing its workforce while fostering a culture of respect and inclusion for all employees.
