FMC Corporation received an updated sustainability management score from EcoVadis, improving by eight points compared to the prior year, and earning a silver medal for the first time. The EcoVadis Network Impact Report assesses companies on the impact and tangible results of their ESG programs.
“This score represents another milestone for FMC as the company continues its sustainability journey,” said Karen Totland, vice president and chief sustainability officer for FMC. “Each new recognition FMC receives reflects the upward trajectory we’ve been on, and we’re very eager to keep that momentum going.”
FMC improved across all EcoVadis’ criteria, but FMC’s environmental score increased the most, likely because of the company’s goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2035 and its commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Initiatives slated for the coming years are expected to have a similar impact across EcoVadis’ remaining criteria: Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
