The FMC Global Innovation Center in Ewing, New Jersey is the company’s worldwide research and development headquarters focused on cutting edge initiatives to bring new chemistries to market that are safe, effective, green and sustainable.
To support rapid growth, FMC’s Global Innovation Center moved in 2009 to new state-of-the-art laboratory and greenhouse facilities in Ewing. More than 200 associates are engaged in research and development and support services at this 130,000 square foot complex. In addition, field research for FMC Agricultural Solutions is conducted at the Sparks Research Station, a 150-acre testing farm and laboratory complex in Sparks, Georgia.
In Asia, FMC has major research and development facilities in Shanghai, China, and in Bangalore, India. In response to the company’s rapid business growth in this region, a new Asia Innovation Center opened in Shanghai, which serves as the company’s hub for research and development and technical innovation in Asia. Designed to utilize advanced green technologies, this innovation center will enhance collaboration with customers in the region and enable the company to develop technologies that will improve their products.
