Our Water Commitments
Sustainable Water Practices
FMC has committed to implementing sustainable water practices at 100% of its operating sites by 2035 with an interim goal of progressing AWS Standard adoption at high-risks sites by 2030. This enterprise-wide goal anchors our approach to responsible water use and wastewater management across our manufacturing footprint.
Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS)
As a member of AWS – a global, multi-stakeholder membership alliance and international standard for responsible water use – FMC contributes to the global movement to advance water stewardship practices and understanding of shared water challenges. Our AWS membership underscores our commitment to internationally recognized best practices in site-level water stewardship.
Integrated Climate & Water Strategy
FMC’s Climate Transition Plan and annual sustainability disclosures detail how circularity and operational efficiency projects help reduce our environmental footprint and operating costs while advancing our water goals. This work is guided by FMC’s double materiality assessment, which supports the integration of water stewardship into decision-making and risk mitigation, aligning operational priorities, stakeholder expectations and long-term resilience.
Public Announcements & Site-Level Commitment Letters
FMC’s site-level water stewardship commitment letters outline local context, goals and engagement with watershed stakeholders, aligned to AWS principles. This section will expand as additional sites finalize and publish their commitments.
